Sound and AV hire FAQs

How much does sound system hire cost in Auckland?
It depends on the size of the system, how long you need it, whether you want delivery and setup, and whether a technician is on site. Fill in the quote form below with your date and what you need and we'll come back to you with a clear, itemised quote.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for Friday and Saturday dates, the November–December function season and summer outdoor events. Short-notice hires are often possible — ask and we'll tell you what's available.
Can you deliver and set everything up?
Yes. We deliver and set up across Auckland, and can leave a technician with you for the duration of the event. If you'd rather collect, we'll run you through the setup before you leave.
Do I need a technician?
For one microphone and some background music, usually not. For a band, multiple wireless microphones, or a programme with speeches, video and music cues, a technician is worth it — they keep the audio clean and let you concentrate on the event.
What do I need to organise at the venue?
Power near the stage or speaker positions, access for load-in, and any noise conditions from the venue or council. Tell us about these up front and we'll size the system to suit.
My event is on a weekend — when do I collect?
Our Lynfield base is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so a dry hire for a Saturday or Sunday event is collected on the Friday and returned on the Monday — and it is charged as a single day, not three. Delivered hires work differently: we deliver, set up and pack down around your event, weekends included. Either way, tell us the event date when you enquire and we'll confirm collection and return times.
Can I hire for more than one day?
Tell us the full dates and we'll quote for the whole period.
