Speeches and presentations
A single powered speaker, or a pair on stands, with a wireless microphone usually does the job.
100–300 · music
Parties and functions
A pair of tops plus a subwoofer gives you full-range sound without pushing the speakers too hard.
Bands, DJs & outdoors
Live music
Tops, subs, stage monitors and a mixing console, usually with a technician to set up and mix.

A line array with ground-stacked or flown subwoofers and a crew. This is where our event production service takes over.
Bigger isn't always better. A correctly placed smaller system nearly always sounds better than an oversized one turned down, and it's cheaper to hire and easier to transport. Speech and music also have different needs — a system that's perfect for a wedding speech will struggle with a DJ set, and vice versa — so tell us about both if your event has both.

How much does speaker hire cost in Auckland?
It depends on the size of the system, how long you need it and whether you want delivery, setup or a technician. Send us your date, venue and audience size and we'll send back a clear quote.
Can I pick the speakers up myself?
Yes. Dry hire from our Lynfield base is the simplest option for small events, and we'll run you through the setup before you leave.
Do I need a subwoofer?
For speeches and background music, no. For a DJ, a band or a dance floor, yes — tops on their own will sound thin once the volume comes up.
Can the speakers be used outdoors?
Yes, with a few conditions: cover from rain, stable stands on level ground and suitable power. Battery-powered options are available where there's no power nearby.
Can you include microphones and a mixer?
Yes — we'll put together a package with speakers, stands, mixer, microphones and cables so you're not hunting for adaptors on the day.
