Shotgun Microphones

Shotgun microphones are designed to capture sound from a focused direction, making them the preferred choice for film production, broadcast, theatre, live events and conferencing. Their highly directional pickup pattern — known as a supercardioid or hypercardioid pattern — allows them to isolate the sound source while rejecting unwanted ambient noise from the sides and rear.

At Audio Connect, we stock a range of professional shotgun microphones suited to a variety of applications, from on-camera recording to boom pole use and fixed installation. Whether you are working on a film set in Auckland, setting up a broadcast studio, or miking a stage performance, our team can help you find the right microphone for your needs.
