DESCRIPTION
The BP28 is a 14" line + gradient large-diaphragm condenser shotgun microphone designed for broadcast, film, television, and theatre boom applications requiring high directionality and an extremely low noise floor. A patented acoustic port design maintains consistent directional control across the full frequency range, avoiding the high-frequency narrowing that affects conventional interference-tube shotgun microphones.
Transformer-coupled outputs provide a smooth, characterful sonic quality and excellent common-mode rejection, while a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and -10 dB pad equip the BP28 for a wide range of programme material and placement distances. The microphone operates from 11âÃÂÃÂ52V phantom power via an integral 3-pin XLR connector.
- Frequency response: 20 Hz âÃÂà20 kHz (flat)
- Sensitivity: -28 dBV (39.8 mV) re 1 V/Pa at 1 kHz | Impedance: 250 ÃÂé
- Self-noise: 8 dB SPL (A-weighted) | Dynamic range: 135 dB
- Maximum SPL: 143 dB (153 dB with pad); switchable 80 Hz HPF & -10 dB pad
- Body length: 354.9 mm (14.0") | Body diameter: 28 mm
The professional choice for broadcast journalists, film production sound mixers, and theatre sound designers requiring exceptional directionality and extremely low noise from a highly specified large-diaphragm shotgun microphone.
