The AKG WMS470-D5 is a professional wireless handheld system pairing a half-rack diversity receiver with an HT470 transmitter fitted with the dynamic D5 capsule, delivering a well-balanced, powerful vocal sound. It suits engineers and integrators specifying fixed multichannel systems for speech and vocals.

The receiver is housed in a half 19-inch all-metal case and uses true diversity reception for stable RF performance in difficult environments. Automatic frequency setup scans for clear channels, then an infrared link transfers all frequency and setup data to the handheld transmitter, removing manual matching during installation and channel changes. Pilot tone transmission mutes the receiver when no valid carrier is present, preventing unexpected start-up noise. For larger builds, the system works with WMS 4500 antenna splitters, power supplies and high-quality directional and omni-directional antennas.
