The AKG WMS420 Presenter Set is a professional wireless system built around a discreet clip-on lapel microphone, intended for presenters, public speakers and theatre productions where the talker needs to move freely and the microphone needs to stay out of shot. It pairs the PT420 bodypack transmitter with the C417L omnidirectional lavalier capsule and an SR420 receiver.
The half-rack receiver uses detachable antennas, so it can be positioned for best line-of-sight or fed from remote aerials in a rack-mounted installation. An audio clip LED and RF control LED give immediate confirmation of level and link status, while an adjustable squelch threshold lets you set the mute point to suit the local RF environment. The transmitter carries a gain control for matching source level, a noiseless on/off/mute switch for silent operation mid-programme, and integrated charging contacts for use with rechargeable cells.
