The AKG WMS420 Instrumental Set is a professional single-channel wireless system for electric guitar, bass and other instruments, pairing an SR420 diversity receiver with the PT420 body-pack transmitter and an MKG/L instrument cable. It suits players and engineers who need dependable, low-noise radio performance without the complexity of a large multi-channel infrastructure.

Pilot tone transmission mutes the receiver output when the transmitter is switched off or out of range, preventing bursts of noise through the PA. A wide selection bandwidth allows multiple systems to be co-ordinated on the same stage, while detachable receiver antennas permit remote mounting in a rack or on an aerial distribution setup. The PT420 body-pack is housed in a compact, rugged enclosure with a mini-XLR input, and front-panel LEDs on the receiver give immediate feedback on RF level and audio clipping.

  • Detachable receiver antennas for rack or remote aerial mounting

  • Six to eight hours of operation from a single AA battery, with integrated charging contacts
