The AKG W68 is a foam windscreen made specifically for the C568B shotgun microphone, giving location recordists, broadcast crews and theatre sound teams a simple way to control wind noise and breath blasts without changing the microphone's character.

The open-cell foam sleeve slips over the interference tube and grips securely, so it stays put through boom moves, handheld work and pistol-grip mounting. It adds negligible mass to the microphone, keeps the balance of a boom rig unchanged, and is shaped to leave the side ports of the line/gradient tube unobstructed so the supercardioid response is preserved.
