The AKG W4000 is a foam windscreen designed to slip over the basket of compatible AKG condenser microphones, reducing wind noise, plosives and breath blasts at close working distances. It suits engineers, installers and vocalists who need consistent low-frequency control without adding an external pop filter to the stand.

The open-cell foam is shaped to the contours of the microphone's grille, so it seats securely without dulling the top end or shifting the capsule's polar response more than a well-fitted windscreen should. It also shields the diaphragm from dust, moisture and cosmetics between sessions, which matters in permanently installed positions and heavily used rehearsal rooms.
