The AKG W30 is a foam windscreen made for the CK31, CK32 and CK33 modular capsules, giving engineers and installers a simple way to control wind noise, breath blasts and plosives on lectern, conference and gooseneck microphones.

The open-cell foam slips over the capsule head and is held by friction, so no adapters or tools are required and the capsule can be swapped between stands, gooseneck arms and mounts without removing the windscreen. It is a low-cost consumable that also shields the grille from dust, moisture and handling marks in permanent installations, and can be replaced on a maintenance schedule rather than servicing the capsule itself.
