DESCRIPTION
The Soundcraft Ui12 is a 12-input remote-controlled digital mixer housed in a compact stagebox chassis, mixed entirely from a phone, tablet or laptop over Wi-Fi. It suits bands, small music venues and anyone who needs a full processing toolkit without a control surface taking up floor space.
Control is browser-based, so any HTML5 device connects without installing an app, and multiple operators can work simultaneously — front of house from the room, musicians adjusting their own monitor sends from stage. The onboard Wi-Fi access point can be bypassed in favour of the wired Ethernet port when a venue router or a more robust wireless network is preferred. The steel chassis places all connectors on the unit itself, so the mixer can sit at the stage end of a multicore run rather than in the audience area.
