The JBL Professional SRX828S is a passive dual 18-inch subwoofer built to extend the low end of medium to large portable and installed systems. It suits production companies, hire firms and integrators who need substantial low-frequency output from a single cabinet without moving to a purpose-built horn-loaded design.

Two JBL 2279H differential drive transducers work into a 4-ohm nominal load, handling 1200 W continuous and 2400 W programme power with 4800 W peak capability. An NL4 input and NL4 loop-thru with selectable +/-1 or +/-2 pin assignment simplifies daisy-chaining and keeps amplifier channel allocation flexible across sub and top arrays. The 18 mm plywood enclosure is finished in DuraFlex coating, with eight handles for crewed lifts and provision for the JBL WK-4S caster kit where cabinets are rolled between rooms or trucks.
