The JBL SRX818S is a single 18-inch passive subwoofer built for concert, touring and installed low-frequency reinforcement. It extends the bottom end of full-range systems in venues where headroom and consistent output matter, making it suited to production companies, AV integrators and engineers specifying fixed or portable rigs.

The enclosure houses the JBL Professional 2279 differential drive woofer, an 8-ohm 18-inch transducer engineered for high excursion and thermal stability under sustained load. A standard M20 pole cup allows a top box to be mounted directly above the sub, and indexing feet let cabinets stack squarely in both standard and rotated orientations. Factory tunings are published for Crown amplifiers and dbx signal processors, and the model is fully supported in Audio Architect for system design, configuration and monitoring.
