DESCRIPTION
The AKG SR470-BD8 is a half-rack UHF diversity receiver for the WMS470 wireless system, giving engineers and installers a stable, easily configured radio link for handheld and bodypack transmitters. It suits venues, production companies and integrators who need dependable wireless performance without extensive RF training on site.
A super-heterodyne front end is paired with microcontroller-controlled space diversity, so the receiver continuously selects the stronger of two antenna signals to reduce dropouts caused by reflections and body shading. Auto setup, environment scan and rehearsal modes speed deployment: the receiver scans for clear frequencies, then rehearsal mode logs level and RF events during soundcheck so problems can be identified before the show. Balanced and unbalanced outputs cover mixer and instrument-amplifier destinations, and the metal housing with supplied rack-mount hardware stands up to repeated transport and installation work.
- Switching bandwidth of 30.5 MHz within Band 8, with FM transmission and 6 dBuV (-100 dBm) RF sensitivity
- Audio bandwidth 35 Hz - 20 kHz, THD below 0.3 % at 1 kHz and 120 dB(A) signal-to-noise
- Balanced XLR output switchable between -30 dBm and 0 dBm plus unbalanced 1/4-inch TS jack, maximum +9 dBu
- Two 50-ohm BNC antenna inputs for the supplied UHF antennas or remote antenna distribution
- 200 x 44 x 190 mm, 972 g, powered from 12 V / 500 mA DC, supplied with the RMU4000 rack-mount kit
