The AKG RMS4000 is a remote mute switch that lets performers and presenters silence a bodypack transmitter discreetly, without reaching for the transmitter itself. It is intended for users whose pack is worn in an awkward position — at the small of the back, inside costume, or clipped beneath clothing — where the onboard mute control is impractical to operate.

The switch connects to the transmitter and can be held in the hand or positioned within easy reach, giving the talent immediate control over their own microphone while the pack stays undisturbed. Construction follows AKG's accessory standards, with a robust cable and switch body suited to repeated use in rehearsal and performance environments.
