The AKG PT470 is a compact bodypack transmitter for the WMS470 wireless series, intended for presenters, vocalists and instrumentalists working with lavalier, headworn and instrument sources. Its low profile and rugged housing suit both high-end installed systems and demanding onstage use, where the transmitter must stay out of sight and survive repeated handling.

Setup is handled by infrared data download from a matching WMS470 receiver, so frequency and gain settings transfer without manual entry across a multi-channel rack. A professional mini XLR audio input accepts instrument cables or AKG headworn and lavalier capsules, and a connector for an external mute switch allows discreet muting during speech events. Output power of up to 50 mW gives useful range in larger rooms, while battery status is transmitted back to the receiver so operators can monitor remaining runtime from front of house.
