The JBL PRX918XLF is a self-powered 18-inch subwoofer built to extend the low-frequency reach of portable and semi-permanent PA systems. It is aimed at engineers, integrators and working musicians who need substantial output from a single box, with the DSP tools to time-align and tune it properly on site.

A 918SG ferrite-magnet woofer is loaded into an 18mm birch cabinet with optimised internal bracing, while an FEA-modelled flared port reduces air noise and port compression at high drive levels. Class D amplification keeps weight down and runs fanless, so the cabinet stays silent between programme material. Two XLR combo inputs and two pass-through outputs simplify daisy-chaining, and an M20 pole cup carries a full-range top. Setup is handled from the colour LCD screen or remotely through the JBL Pro Connect app.
