The AKG P3S is a handheld cardioid dynamic microphone built for backing vocals, spoken word and close-miked instruments. It offers a straightforward, road-ready option for singers and presenters starting out, and a dependable spare for engineers who need extra channels on stage without compromising on build.

The cardioid polar pattern concentrates pickup on the source in front of the capsule while rejecting sound arriving from the rear, which helps control spill from monitors and neighbouring instruments in tight stage setups. A die-cast metal body and rugged wire-mesh cap with internal windscreen handle the knocks of regular gigging and reduce plosive energy from close vocal work. The built-in mute switch lets performers silence the channel between songs or announcements without reaching for the desk, and the supplied stand adapter and protective bag make it ready to deploy straight from the case.
