The AKG K712PRO is an open-back, over-ear reference headphone built for mixing and mastering, offering an unusually spacious presentation and clearly defined low end for engineers who need to make decisions without a control room. It suits mastering engineers, mix engineers, broadcast operators and musicians working on detailed edits.

The open acoustic design gives a wide, natural stereo image with minimal internal reflection, so depth and reverb tails remain legible. Rated impedance is 62 ohms with 105 dB SPL/V sensitivity, making the K712PRO straightforward to drive from a monitor controller, console headphone bus or dedicated headphone amplifier. Detachable mini-XLR cabling means a damaged lead is replaced rather than the headphone, and the genuine soft leather headband and replaceable ear pads support long sessions and years of service.
