DESCRIPTION
The AKG HT470-D5 is a UHF handheld transmitter for the WMS470 wireless system, fitted with the D5 supercardioid dynamic vocal capsule. It suits vocalists and presenters who need a rugged, feedback-resistant handheld for reinforcement work, and gives integrators a straightforward way to add or replace a channel on an existing WMS470 installation.
Transmission uses pilot tone to prevent squelch-related noise when the transmitter is switched off, and infrared sync transfers frequency settings from the receiver without menu navigation. The dipole antenna design supports consistent RF behaviour across the 30 MHz switching bandwidth, and the backlit display shows remaining operating time so crews can plan battery swaps between sets. Construction is metal-bodied at 237 x 51 mm and 240 g, with a stand adapter supplied.
- Audio bandwidth 35 Hz – 20 kHz with 120 dB(A) signal-to-noise ratio and 0.7 % THD at 1 kHz
- 1220 selectable frequencies in 25 kHz steps across a 30 MHz switching bandwidth
- Up to 24 recommended simultaneous channels in a coordinated system
- Switchable RF output of 10 – 50 mW with approximately 100 m line-of-sight range
- Single AA cell gives roughly 7 hours (alkaline) or 8 hours (NiMH) of operation
A practical choice for houses of worship, corporate AV, education, hospitality venues and live events running fixed or portable WMS470 systems.
