The AKG HT470-C5 is a UHF handheld transmitter for the WMS470 wireless system, fitted with the C5 condenser vocal capsule for presenters, worship leaders and vocalists who need consistent projection and detail from a wireless handheld. It suits venues and integrators already running WMS470 receivers and needing an additional or replacement handheld channel.

Transmission is analogue UHF with pilot tone for reliable squelch, and infrared sync lets the transmitter take its frequency directly from the paired receiver rather than being set by hand. A 30 MHz switching bandwidth with 1220 frequencies in 25 kHz steps gives room to work around local congestion, while the dipole antenna design and selectable RF output help maintain a stable link across the room. The metal body, recessed controls and single-AA power make it practical for handover between speakers, and the display shows remaining operating time so stage crew can plan battery changes.
