The AKG DRUMSETPREMIUM is a hand-selected, eight-microphone reference set for capturing a full drum kit, combining five dynamic and three condenser models in one case. It is aimed at engineers and musicians who need a consistent, known-quantity kit for touring, live production and studio tracking rather than assembling microphones piecemeal.

Kick duties go to the D12 VR, a large-diaphragm dynamic with passive filter circuitry for shaping low-end weight and attack at the capsule. Snare and toms are covered by four D40 dynamics, while a matched pair of C214 large-diaphragm condensers handles overheads and a C451 B small-diaphragm condenser sits on hi-hat. The dynamics need no powering; the condensers run from standard phantom power on any console or interface preamp. Every microphone ships with its clamp or stand adaptor, and the set travels in a heavy-duty metal case with cut foam for fast load-in and reliable inventory checks.
