DESCRIPTION
The dbx DJDI is a two-channel passive direct injection box that converts a pair of unbalanced instrument or line-level sources into balanced, transformer-isolated outputs. It suits engineers and players who need to connect keyboards, DJ mixers, samplers or backing-track playback to a stage box or console without occupying two separate DI slots.
Each channel uses a passive circuit built around an isolation transformer, so no phantom power or batteries are required and the signal path stays free of active electronics. The 1/4-inch TS inputs present a 50k Ohm load appropriate for high-impedance sources, while the XLR connections work at 600 Ohms and can be used as inputs or outputs, allowing reverse operation where a balanced feed needs to reach unbalanced equipment. An input level control on each channel manages hot sources ahead of the transformer, and a ground lift switch breaks the shield connection to address hum caused by earth loops between stage and front-of-house. The sturdy metal chassis is intended for repeated setup and teardown under foot traffic.
- Stereo two-channel passive design in a single enclosure
- Two 1/4-inch 50k Ohm TS inputs for high-impedance sources
- Two XLR transformer-isolated 600 Ohm input/outputs
- Adjustable signal input control per channel
- Ground lift switch for earth loop hum
A practical choice for live events, touring, rehearsal rooms, houses of worship, education and hospitality installations.
