DESCRIPTION
A polarisation diversity wideband antenna combining an LPDA element and a dipole element within a single compact housing, simultaneously capturing both vertically and horizontally polarised RF signals. This cross-polarised diversity approach eliminates the most common cause of wireless microphone dropout — polarisation mismatch — without the need for two separate antenna positions or orientations.
The Diversity Fin's 228 MHz bandwidth spans the full 470–698 MHz UHF television band, covering the majority of professional wireless microphone frequency allocations. Two independent BNC female outputs connect directly to a receiver's A & B diversity inputs or to an antenna distribution system's dual inputs.
- Frequency range: 470–698 MHz (228 MHz bandwidth)
- LPDA element gain: 5 dBd; dipole element gain: 1.8 dBd
- Polarisation: cross-polarised diversity (vertical & horizontal)
- Impedance: 50 Ω; average return loss: −9.4 dB
- Two BNC female connectors; dimensions: 300 mm W × 370 mm H; weight: 454 g
Equally effective in touring, broadcast, theatre, corporate AV, and houses of worship — wherever a single-unit polarisation diversity solution is preferred over bulkier two-antenna paddle configurations.
