The dbx DB12 is a phantom-powered active DI box that converts high-impedance instrument and line-level sources into a balanced, low-impedance microphone-level signal for long cable runs to the front-of-house or monitor console. It suits bass and guitar players, keyboard rigs, playback sources and any engineer who needs a reliable interface between the stage and the mixing position.

Low-noise active circuitry is paired with a premium shielded custom dbx transformer for galvanic isolation, breaking earth loops between the instrument amplifier and the PA system while preserving low-frequency extension. Operation requires 48V phantom power from the console or stage box, confirmed by a green front-panel LED. The industrial-strength enclosure is built for repeated load-ins, with a stackable chassis, durable rubber foot and premium chrome toggle switches that resist accidental knocks in a crowded stage plot.
