DESCRIPTION
The dbx DB10 is a passive direct injection box for taking instrument-level sources into a balanced microphone input, giving engineers a clean, hum-free feed from bass, guitar, keyboards and other high-impedance outputs. It suits front-of-house and monitor engineers, installers and touring musicians who need a dependable passive DI that survives repeated set-up and pack-down.
A custom dbx mu-metal-shielded audio transformer handles the Hi-Z to Lo-Z conversion and provides galvanic isolation between stage and console, breaking earth loops before they become audible. The industrial-strength enclosure is stackable with a durable rubber foot to keep it planted on stage decks, and gold-plated Neutrik connectors along with chrome toggle switches address the two parts of a DI that usually fail first. Front-panel switching covers level matching, tone shaping and polarity, so problems are solved at the source rather than at the desk.
- Transformer-isolated passive design using a premium shielded custom dbx transformer
- 3-way 0/20/40 dB pad switch for instrument, line and speaker-level sources
- Hi-Z 1/4-inch input with parallel 1/4-inch thru jack for on-stage amplifier feeds
- Balanced Lo-Z XLR output on a gold-plated Neutrik connector
- Flat/high-cut filter, output polarity invert and ground lift switches
A practical choice for live events, touring, theatre, houses of worship, rehearsal rooms and permanent installation.
