The dbx CT2 is a handheld cable tester that verifies the integrity of audio, BNC and DMX cables in seconds, giving engineers, installers and technicians a fast way to isolate a faulty lead before it costs stage time or a session. It suits studio, touring and portable use.

Multiple connector sockets are grouped on the chassis so a cable can be plugged in at both ends and checked conductor by conductor, with LED indicators showing continuity, opens, shorts and reversed or miswired pins. The moulded housing and recessed connectors stand up to daily handling in a toolbox, rack drawer or gig bag.

  • Tests XLR, 1/4-inch TRS, RCA, banana, speakON, DIN/MIDI and BNC terminations
  • Per-conductor LED readout identifies opens, shorts and crossed pins
  • Checks 3-pin and 5-pin XLR runs used for DMX lighting control
