The AKG CM311AESH is a head-worn vocal microphone built around the Differoid noise-cancelling principle, delivering handheld-quality voice pickup with exceptional rejection of stage wash and foldback. It suits presenters, worship leaders, theatre performers and vocalists who need both hands free and a consistent signal at high stage levels.

The Differoid element combines a cardioid pattern with differential noise cancellation, so off-axis sound arriving at the capsule is substantially attenuated while the close-talking source stays full and undistorted. This translates into unusually high gain-before-feedback, allowing engineers to push monitor and PA levels without ringing the system. The boom and headband assembly is lightweight and rugged enough for touring use, holding position through movement while remaining comfortable across long sessions, and the microphone terminates in a TA4F mini-XLR connector for direct use with compatible Shure bodypack transmitters.
