The AKG CK94 is a figure-eight condenser capsule from the Blue Line modular system, designed for dialogue pickup and for use as the side microphone in M/S stereo recording. It suits engineers who need accurate bidirectional response with the flexibility of a modular capsule and powering module approach.

The capsule mounts directly onto the SE 300 B powering unit, which is required for operation and provides the phantom powering and output stage. Connection is made through a quick-lock bayonet mount, so capsules can be swapped in seconds without tools when a session calls for a different polar pattern. The figure-eight pattern rejects sound arriving at the sides of the capsule, giving strong off-axis discrimination for two-person dialogue and for coincident stereo arrays where the mid capsule handles the centre image.
