It is a capsule head only and must be paired with the SE300B powering module to form a complete microphone, making it a practical building block for studios, broadcast facilities and installers who already hold Blue Line hardware.

A flat on-axis response and a polar pattern that stays consistent across the audio band mean instruments and voices captured off-centre remain tonally natural rather than dull, which matters when microphones are placed close to loud sources or into busy stage arrays. The capsule threads directly onto the module, so a single powering body can be reconfigured with different Blue Line heads as the job changes.
