The capsule assembles into a slim suspended module that hangs on its cable at the required height above the source, with a spring steel hanging clamp supplied for secure cable management and repeatable positioning. Cardioid directivity favours sound arriving from below and rejects off-axis energy from the rear, which helps preserve gain before feedback in rooms with distributed reinforcement. The microphone requires phantom power from the mixer or interface, integrating with standard balanced XLR inputs on any installed console or DSP frontend.
