The AKG C544 L is a high-performance head-worn miniature condenser microphone designed for hands-free speech in demanding, high-volume environments. Its lightweight headband and cardioid capsule keep the presenter's voice consistent and intelligible while they move, making it a practical choice for fitness and aerobics instruction, sports coaching, and any presenter who needs both hands free.

The cardioid pattern rejects sound arriving from the sides and rear, which lifts gain-before-feedback when the microphone is working in front of loud foldback or a full-range music system. The miniature boom places the capsule close to the mouth for a strong, direct signal at modest preamp gain, and the wire headband holds its adjustment through repeated fitting. Termination is a standard three-pin mini XLR, so the microphone integrates with AKG bodypack transmitters, or with a phantom-power adapter for a wired feed into a mixer or DSP input.
