DESCRIPTION
The AKG C519ML is a clip-on condenser microphone designed to mount directly on the bell of a trumpet, saxophone, trombone, tuba or similar wind instrument, giving horn players full freedom of movement on stage. It suits touring brass sections, pit orchestras and any engineer who needs consistent horn pickup without a stand in the performer's way.
A cardioid polar pattern keeps the capsule focused on the instrument and rejects adjacent players, drum kits and stage wedges, which materially improves gain before feedback in a crowded horn line. The flexible gooseneck holds its position once set, so the capsule stays at the same distance and axis show after show. The ML variant terminates in a miniature XLR connector for use with AKG bodypack transmitters, and the padded clamp grips the bell without marking the finish.
- Cardioid polar pattern for high isolation between closely spaced horns
- Condenser capsule optimised for the high sound pressure levels produced at a bell
- Miniature XLR termination for direct connection to compatible bodypack transmitters
- Repositionable gooseneck for precise placement on and off the instrument axis
- Clamp mount fits trumpet, saxophone, trombone, tuba and other bell-ended instruments
A practical choice for live events, touring, theatre, broadcast and houses of worship where wind and brass players need to move.
