The AKG C519M is a clip-on cardioid condenser microphone designed to mount directly on the bell of a trumpet, saxophone, trombone, tuba or similar instrument, giving horn players full freedom of movement while maintaining a consistent, close-miked signal. It suits engineers covering brass and wind sections, drums and percussion where stands are impractical and players need to move.

A flexible gooseneck lets you position the capsule precisely relative to the bell, and the rubber-lined clamp grips the instrument without marking the finish. The microphone terminates in an integrated XLR output module, so it connects straight into any standard mixing console or stage box input with phantom power and no proprietary interface. The tight cardioid pattern rejects neighbouring instruments and stage wedges, keeping bleed low in dense horn lines and busy pit or riser positions.
