The AKG C451B-ST is a factory-matched pair of small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphones supplied for stereo work, giving engineers two capsules with closely aligned sensitivity and response for predictable imaging. It suits recording engineers, live sound operators and installers who need a reliable, detailed reference microphone for instruments and ensembles.

The C451 B is a transformerless condenser with a fixed cardioid capsule, a fast transient response and a presence lift that keeps cymbals, strings and percussion articulate in a dense mix. Switchable attenuation and bass-cut filters let one microphone cover close-miked drums and distant ambience without outboard processing, and the all-metal body stands up to daily use on stands, booms and overhead bars.
