The AKG C417L is a miniature omnidirectional lavalier microphone terminated in a mini-XLR connector for use with wireless bodypack transmitters. Its low-profile capsule sits discreetly on a lapel or costume, making it a practical choice for presenters, actors and anyone who needs consistent speech pickup without a visible microphone on camera or under stage lighting.

The pre-polarised condenser capsule covers the full 20Hz to 20kHz range and its omnidirectional pattern picks up sound equally from all directions, which keeps level and tonal balance stable when the talent turns their head away from the capsule. That same characteristic reduces handling and clothing noise sensitivity compared with tighter patterns. The mini-XLR termination follows the standard AKG bodypack convention, so integration into an existing radio microphone system is straightforward, and the lightweight cable and capsule assembly is easy to dress under clothing or tape into a hairline.
