DESCRIPTION
The AKG C414XLS-ST is a factory-matched stereo pair of C414 XLS large-diaphragm condenser microphones, supplied with everything needed for coincident and spaced stereo work. It suits recording engineers, broadcast facilities and installers who need two channels of consistent, neutral capture from a reference-grade microphone.
Each capsule is selected and measured so the pair tracks closely in sensitivity and frequency response, which keeps phantom images stable across Blumlein, XY, ORTF and spaced arrangements. The edge-terminated one-inch dual-diaphragm capsule delivers a linear response with high transient accuracy, and the transformerless output drives long cable runs into any standard 48 V phantom-powered preamp. Machined metal bodies, detented pattern selection and the supplied H85 elastic suspensions keep the pair mechanically stable in demanding rooms.
