The AKG C391B is a compact modular condenser microphone pairing the SE 300 B powering and output module with the CK 91 cardioid capsule, giving engineers a precise, low-colouration small-diaphragm mic for close and distant work alike. It suits recording engineers, front-of-house and monitor engineers, and location sound crews who need consistent off-axis behaviour in crowded microphone setups.

Part of AKG's Blue Line system, the C391B separates the capsule from the preamplifier body, so the CK 91 head can be swapped for other Blue Line capsules or moved onto extension arms and goosenecks as the application changes. The transformerless output stage drives long cable runs into console and interface preamps without loss of transient detail, and the SE 300 B's onboard switching lets you tailor response at the source rather than in the desk. Metal construction and a slim profile make it straightforward to position on drum kits, orchestral stands and overhead rigs.
