DESCRIPTION
The AKG C314-ST is a factory-matched pair of C314 multi-pattern condenser microphones, supplied for coincident and spaced stereo work on acoustic instruments, drum overheads, ensembles and room capture. It suits engineers who need two capsules with consistent sensitivity and tonal character for reliable, phase-coherent stereo imaging in the studio or on stage.
Each microphone uses a one-inch dual-diaphragm capsule derived from AKG's long-running large-diaphragm design, with four selectable polar patterns chosen on the microphone body. A switchable attenuation pad and low-cut filter let you set the microphone up for close, high-SPL sources or distant pickup without relying on preamp gain structure, and a peak-hold LED flags transient overload before it reaches the console. The all-metal body and grille are built for repeated stand mounting, touring racks and daily studio use, and both microphones run from standard 48 V phantom power on any professional preamp or interface.
- One-inch dual-diaphragm condenser capsule in each microphone
- Four polar patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid, super-cardioid and figure-eight
- Switchable −20 dB pad for maximum SPL handling of 145 dB
- Switchable 100 Hz low-cut filter at 12 dB per octave
- Peak-hold overload LED and 48 V phantom power operation
Well suited to studio recording, broadcast, theatre and live event applications where dependable stereo capture is required.
