The AKG C214-ST is a factory-matched stereo pair of C214 large-diaphragm condenser microphones, supplied ready for coincident, spaced and mid-side work. It brings the character of the C414 family to engineers who need dependable, repeatable stereo capture of acoustic sources, drum overheads, pianos, choirs and room ambience.

Each microphone uses a one-inch edge-terminated capsule with an integrated capsule suspension that reduces mechanical noise and preserves low-frequency detail. The transformerless output stage drives long cable runs into any 48 V phantom-powered preamp without loss of transient clarity, and the switchable pad and bass-cut filter allow the same pair to move from a quiet vocal booth to a close-miked guitar cabinet. The rugged all-metal body and scratch-resistant finish suit both permanent studio use and mobile recording.
