The BP898cW is a subminiature cardioid condenser lavalier microphone in black, terminated with a locking 4-pin cW-style connector for direct use with Audio-Technica cW-style UniPak wireless body-pack transmitters — no separate power module required. The 5.3 mm diameter capsule delivers a wide dynamic range and high-SPL tolerance, producing intelligible, natural-sounding audio with strong rear and side rejection for excellent isolation on stage and camera.

The permanently attached urethane elastomer cable provides outstanding flexibility and resistance to abrasion and moisture, while the low-profile capsule head keeps the microphone discreet when mounted on clothing or in a hair band. The black version is preferred for use on dark clothing or hair in lighting conditions where minimal visibility is required.
