At the heart of the OC16 is Austrian Audio's handmade CKR12 ceramic capsule, manufactured in-house in Vienna. This edge-terminated capsule delivers an open, transparent sound character with a smooth frequency response extending from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. With low self-noise and the ability to handle high SPLs, the OC16 performs confidently across a wide range of sources — from intimate vocal tracking to close-miking loud guitar cabinets and percussion.
