The Audio-Technica ATND8734A is a single-channel network interface module that takes the output of a connected microphone and delivers it to a Dante audio network, while supplying the microphone with power over the same cable. It is intended for integrators building lectern, pulpit and conference table positions where a clean single-cable run is preferable to separate analogue mic lines and local power supplies.

Because audio is converted at the microphone position, the signal travels the installation as digital Dante rather than as an analogue run susceptible to induced noise over long cable distances. The module sits within a standard switched network alongside Dante-enabled DSP, matrix processors and amplifiers, with channel naming, routing and clocking handled in Dante Controller in the same way as any other device on the network. Construction and connectors follow Audio-Technica's installed-sound practice, suited to permanent fixing in joinery and lecterns where access after commissioning is limited.
