DESCRIPTION
The BSS Audio AR133 is a tour-grade active direct injection box for taking instrument, line and speaker-level signals into a balanced microphone input. It suits engineers and installers who need a dependable, transparent interface between stage sources and the console, whether on a touring rig or in a permanent system.
The audio path is an enhanced development of the long-established BSS AR-116, a unit widely treated as a reference for DI performance. The AR133 matches level and impedance at unity gain without loading the source, so pickups and high-impedance outputs retain their tonal character, and the balanced output drives long cable runs without degradation. Power comes from console phantom power, with automatic switchover to the internal battery should phantom power fail. Construction is a rugged steel enclosure built for repeated handling on the road and reliable long-term service in racks and under-stage positions.
