DESCRIPTION
The Dante AVIO analogue input adapter takes two channels of balanced line-level analogue audio and places them directly on a Dante network. It is intended for engineers and integrators who need to bring existing consoles, wireless receivers, playback gear and instruments into a networked audio system without replacing hardware that still performs.
Audinate designed the AVIO range as a bridge between legacy analogue infrastructure and Dante transport, so routing is handled entirely in Dante Controller alongside every other device on the network. The adapter draws power over the same Cat cable that carries audio, removing the need for a local supply at the source position, and its sealed moulded housing is small enough to sit behind a rack, at a stage box or cable-tied to a lectern. Combined with AVIO output adapters, it also lets outboard processing be patched in and out of a Dante system as required.
- Two channels of balanced line-level analogue input
- Powered over Ethernet from a PoE switch or injector via a single Cat cable
- Discovery, naming, subscription and clocking managed in Dante Controller
- Connects legacy mixers, consoles and wireless receivers to a Dante network
- Patches DSPs, analogue compressors and equalisers into a Dante system when paired with AVIO output adapters
Well suited to houses of worship, corporate AV, education, theatre and installation work where analogue sources must feed a networked system.
