DESCRIPTION
The AKG AB4000 is an in-line RF amplifier for inserting into long antenna cable runs between remote aerials and wireless receivers, restoring signal level lost to cable attenuation. It is intended for integrators and engineers deploying antennas at a distance from the rack.
Covering 500 to 865 MHz, the booster offers selectable gain so it can be matched to the specific cable type and run length rather than adding fixed amplification that would overload the receiver front end. BNC connections at 50 ohms suit standard coaxial infrastructure, power arrives over the antenna cable itself, and the water-resistant housing allows mounting at the aerial end of an installed system.
- Carrier frequency range of 500 to 865 MHz
- Selectable gain from approximately 17 dB down to 3.5 dB
- One BNC RF input and one BNC RF output, both 50 ohms
- 8 VDC operating voltage supplied via the antenna cable from PS 4000 W or ASU 4000
- Water-resistant case with status LED, 110 x 35 mm and 150 g
Suited to installation work in theatre, houses of worship, corporate AV and broadcast facilities where antennas sit well away from the receivers.
