The JBL Professional 306P MkIII is a two-way powered studio monitor built around a 6-inch woofer, intended for tracking, mixing and critical listening in project rooms, edit suites and broadcast booths. It delivers a neutral, detailed presentation with a usefully wide listening window, so mix decisions translate reliably to other playback systems.

Each driver is served by its own Class D amplifier, with the crossover and protection handled internally so no external processing or amplification is required. The patented Image Control Waveguide, developed for JBL's larger reference monitors, aligns the acoustic output of the low- and high-frequency transducers through the crossover region, keeping imaging stable off-axis and at the mix position. The enclosure is rear-ported, and rear-panel controls allow the monitor to be matched to the room and to desk or console placement during commissioning.
