DESCRIPTION
The dbx 1231 is a dual channel 31-band graphic equaliser in a 3U rack chassis, giving engineers and integrators precise third-octave control over two independent signal paths. It suits system tuning, monitor shaping and corrective room work where repeatable, visible settings matter more than menu diving.
Each channel provides 31 ISO-centred 1/3 octave bands with switchable boost/cut ranges of ±6 or ±15 dB, so fine tuning can be carried out at higher fader resolution once gross corrections are set. Electronically balanced inputs and servo balanced outputs interface with balanced or unbalanced equipment, and RF filtering on inputs and outputs helps maintain a clean noise floor in dense racks. XLR, barrier strip and 1/4-inch TRS connectors cover both touring and fixed installation wiring practices, while chassis/signal ground lift and an internal power supply transformer address earth loop and layout issues on site.
