The dbx 1215 is a dual-channel graphic equaliser with built-in limiting, intended for engineers and integrators who need dependable room and monitor correction without menu-driven complexity. Each channel offers 15 bands on ISO frequency centres, making it a practical tool for tuning fixed installations, front-of-house systems and stage monitor sends.

Part of the dbx 12 Series, the 1215 was designed for demanding sound reinforcement environments while keeping the control surface immediately readable under low light. Faders provide a range of ±12 dB, giving usable correction authority without the coarse gestures that steeper ranges encourage. Onboard limiting protects amplifiers and drivers from transient overload, so the unit can sit permanently between console output and system processing or amplification. The rack-mount chassis and straightforward front-panel layout suit both touring racks and locked equipment cupboards where operators need to see settings at a glance.
